purpose of penis ring

whats the purpose of a penis ring, is it meant to cause pain as in bdsm? or is it to enhance sex?

we were sitting around debating this the other day, i said in some cases both. but it was originally intended to make the much more erect and stiff! it will also enhance the way you hang in frt, ie. a nice enhance basket.
in response to naked’s reply, there are different types for specific things. be it wider, more thick, rubber, steel leather,ones made to painfully spread the balls, one’s with dull rivets on the inside ,and yes ones that a leash can be atatched to, the latter 3 specificly and exclusively for bdsm play.

it can be any type of material and can be found at your local sex shop
but it’s a ring that goes at the base of your penis (or also around the balls) and it is meant to keep it harder, for longer
